Biographical information/Professional background
After graduating from the School of Applied Arts in Lyon in 1987, Stéphanie Calemard pursued her artistic research in graphic design and illustration in Lyon, Paris and then Grenoble in various communication agencies before finally launching her own business, enriched by these different experiences.
At the same time, it is in front of the mountain, in Saint-Ismier where she lives in the Rhône-Alpes region, that she creates in 2013 “Les empotées”, a first collection of lamps directly inspired by nature and colours, where she diverts transplanters with humour and fantasy.
Other families of lamps will be born: “Les grosses cylindrées”, “Les désaxées”, “Les featherées”, “Les embobinées”… always playful excuses to divert the elements and play with light! In 2015 came her “Arbres voyageurs”, a collection of luminous and woolly trees, dressed in patchwork of woollens and declined in all colours and materials.
But, during the covid pandemic, her passion for painting caught up with her and an urgent need was born to draw, paint and surround herself with giant characters expressing the whole palette of emotions…
The Gallery, French Arts Factory, regularly presents the different artistic universes of the artist since 2016.
